Personalized Real-time Air Quality Informatics System for Exposure – Hong Kong (PRAISE-HK)
HKUST Institute for the Environment (HKUST-IENV) today released the “PRAISE-HK-EXP App” – a new mobile app that help users analyze their personal air pollution exposure budget, from outdoor, indoor, to different micro-environments including various modes of transportation, so that they can better manage their exposure to air pollution in different micro-environments. Thanks for the HSBC 150th Anniversary Charity Program, the PRAISE-HK system has three major release milestones for the mobile app:

HKUST Receives HK$100 Million Donation from Yuexiu in Support of University’s Academic and Research Work
Further to a generous donation totaling HK$180 million in the two previous years, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) received another HK$100 million donation from Yuexiu Group (Yuexiu) in support of the University’s efforts in teaching, research and talent grooming . Meanwhile, HKUST and Yuexiu signed a framework agreement to step up cooperation in technology innovation, talent nurturing and research commercialization.

HKUST Welcomes Appointments of Council Vice-Chairman, University Treasurer and New Council Member
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) welcomes the Chancellor’s appointment of Prof. Patrick YEUNG Kai-cheung as the Vice-Chairman of the University Council, and Mr. Stephen YIU Kin-wah as the University Treasurer and Mr. Michael NGAI Ming-tak as a new Member on Council, all with effect from November 1, 2021.
