HKUST Graduates Move Up to 12th Worldwide, Tops Greater China In Global Employability University Ranking 2017
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has risen one place to rank 12th worldwide and No. 1 in Greater China in the high-profile annual Global Employability University Ranking this year.  HKUST graduates have been ranked the world’s top 20 most employable and the most employable in Greater China five years in a roll. HKUST President Prof Tony F Chan is glad to see the ascent.  “I am very proud of our graduates who continue to be ranked amongst the most competitive and desirable employees in the global job market.  It attests to their personal quality and the high regard that their employers have placed on them. Being one of the top universities in Asia, HKUST provides an innovative, holistic and multi-cultural learning environment, which helps groom our students into not only experts of their fields, but also versatile leaders with a global mindset and problem solving skills,” Prof Chan said.

HKUST President Prof Tony F Chan is pleased about the ascent. “I am very proud of our graduates who continue to be ranked amongst the most competitive and desirable employees in the global job market. Our whole person education model has been successful in inculcating in our graduates the qualities accentuated by the survey, such as international exposure as well as research and education excellence.  These are exactly the missions that we have devoted our efforts to,” he said.

HKUST Ranks 16th Worldwide in Latest Global Survey on Employability of Graduates
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has risen two places to rank #16 in the high-profile annual Global Employability University Survey and Ranking this year, as reported by the New York Times.  HKUST remains No. 1 in Greater China. The survey polled 4,500 recruiters and executives from 20 countries including the United States, China, Japan, Britian, Mexico, Morocco, Spain and others from Europe, over half came from the leading 1,000 companies.  The majority thinks that a global university model will arise, and that universities of tomorrow should prepare students for the realities of work with a balanced mix of theoretical and practical training as they evolved towards a fundamenmtal reshuffle.  The survey has also noted that universities with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) spectrum of subjects do much better in this ranking.

HKUST Ranked First in Greater China, Top 20 in World, in Global Graduate Employability Rankings
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has climbed to No.18 in the high-profile Global Employability University Ranking 2013. HKUST is the only university in Greater China in the top 20. The survey and rankings are conducted by Emerging, a French human resources consultancy, and Trendence, a leading European research institute. The ranking was derived from the responses of 5,000 recruiters in a total of 30 countries and regions, including France, Germany, Italy, the US, the UK, Japan, Singapore, Mainland China and Hong Kong: Those responding comprised 2,700 online, and some 2,300 CEOs and chairmen from the leading 1,000 companies, who cast votes for the top 150 universities producing the most employable graduates.
