The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) warmly welcomed a delegation from the University Grants Committee (UGC) on January 9, 2025. The visit sparked lively discussions among UGC members, HKUST’s senior management, faculty, and students, highlighting the university’s commitment to creating a dynamic learning environment. During their tour, the delegation explored various innovative teaching facilities on campus, gaining insights into HKUST’s latest achievements and aspirations for advancing academic innovation and nurturing future talent. 

香港科技大學（科大）今早於校園舉行升旗典禮，慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十五周年。外交部駐香港特別行政區特派員公署政策研究室副主任包海斌參贊、科大副監督陳祖澤博士、校董會副主席楊佳錩教授、顧問委員會主席廖長城博士，以及其他大學高層管理人員作主禮嘉賓，並由香港輔助警察隊（香港輔警）會操及升旗隊負責莊嚴而隆重的升旗儀式，隊員當中大部分為在讀科大學生及畢業生。 四百多名包括科大校董會及顧問委員會成員、師生、校友、教職員及其家屬親身參與典禮，並有逾兩萬人在線上觀看直播。典禮期間，科大內地學生學者聯誼會合唱團與所有出席典禮的嘉賓及科大成員一同奏唱國歌、科大校歌及「我和我的祖國」，聯誼會日前亦在校園內組成「75」字樣，祝賀祖國成立七十五周年。

IPO organized "Exploring IPO at HKUST" on 25 November 2017 and invited IPO alumni and current students to share about their study tips, university life and career prospects with prospective students.

Around 50 secondary students attended "Innovate Your Future-Exploring IPO at HKUST" held on 26 November 2016 to know more about the undergraduate programs offered by Interdisciplinary Programs Office (IPO). IPO also invited Mr Ken CHENG, Associate Engineer of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and the alumni of T&M-DDP, to share how he fulfilled his flying dream of building and flying Hong Kong's first homebuilt and locally certified aircraft.
