Paving the Way for Young Women in Business
Promoting gender equity is a team effort and the younger generations’ voices matter in driving changes in the future world. In the second part of the Smashing the Glass Ceiling series, a group of business students share with us how they gather momentum to help their female fellows approach the business world with confidence and fortitude.  Women in Business (WIB), one of HKUST’s newest associations for female students, was born out of necessity. Upon returning to Hong Kong in 2020 after an exchange trip abroad, Gillian DEL MUNDO (Global Business and Economics, 2021), found that the existing initiatives on campus lacked what she felt was needed to guide young women starting out in business.

RMBI Mentoring Dinner 2017
Around 60 mentors and students attended the Risk Management and Business Intelligence Program (RMBI) Mentoring Dinner to kick-start the Mentorship Program on 11 October 2017.

"Innovating Today, Imaging Tomorrow" Mentorship Program 2016/17
In line with its commitment to serving the local community, the Interdisciplinary Programs Office joined hands with The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) to launch again the 25th Anniversary event "Innovating Today, Imagining Tomorrow" Mentorship Program in 2016/17. Through interdisciplinary activities and mentoring sessions with faculty, the program aims to broaden local high school students' horizons, and inspire them to unleash their potential and pursue personal goals.
