2016-10-17

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)’s partnership Executive MBA (EMBA) program is ranked No.1 in the world in the latest Financial Times (FT) Global EMBA Rankings. This is the seventh time the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program has topped the highly regarded international ranking chart.

According to the FT Global EMBA Rankings 2016, the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program has achieved outstanding performance in a number of surveyed fields. On career progress, the program graduates achieved the highest average salary three years after graduation, reaching US$468,670 (HK$3,655,626) per annum this year.  The EMBA graduates saw an average increase of 55 per cent in their income after taking the program.

“We are very pleased with this record-setting achievement, which stands unrivalled in the world,” said HKUST President Prof Tony Chan. “The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program has won a place in the top three positions in the FT annual survey since 2005. Its success lays with the shared vision between HKUST and our partner the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University in the US to provide the premier executive education for global business leaders.”

“This unique East-West partnership brings together the brightest students around the world and the top-tier faculty from two great schools,” said Prof Kar Yan Tam, Dean of HKUST Business School. “The encouraging outcome will drive us to further enhance our academic excellence and continue improving the learning experience of students in all our programs.”

Prof Tam remarks that the top ranking is the best gift to mark the program’s coming 20th anniversary. “We are thankful to our high-caliber students and the powerful network formed by over 900 elite alumni. They have played a key role in supporting our continued success,” he said.

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University is a pioneer in offering joint EMBA programs internationally. The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program was launched in 1998 to offer the best management education for international talent.
