HKUST proudly highlights Professor Pavel Zhelyazkov, a standout faculty member whose research transforms our understanding of business networks. He explores the dynamics of collaboration networks such as strategic alliances and venture capital syndication, showing how status, reputation, and competition shape firms’ collaboration decisions and performance.
Beyond his research, Professor Zhelyazkov is an associate editor at Management Science, and is on the editorial board of five other prominent journals. He has also mentored multiple post-graduate students at HKUST, as well as organized professional development activities in the broader academy.
